Mindfulness

“It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that things are difficult.” — Seneca

My Background in Mindfulness

Being naturally sensitive, meditation began in childhood and progressed into formal meditation as a teen with explorations in Buddhism. I have been fortunate to have received personal instruction from some of the most respected teachers in Buddhism.

My range of meditation experiences from around the world include: Vipassana retreats, time in monasteries in the Himalayas, Spirit Rock Meditation Center in California, retreats in the ashrams of India, retreat with the Dalai Lama (Bodhgaya), and visits to several pilgrimage sites around the globe, including Muktinath and Ephesus.

I began to practice Qigong, an ancient Chinese health system of healing and energy medicine used to cultivate mindfulness, as a young adult. Since, I have studied with Grandmaster Liang and Master Lin. In 1995, Master Lin invited me into preparation to take over her ancient qigong lineage.

I am thankful to have been gifted with the support of many master teachers of mindfulness.
